For gaming-community operators

Gaming community staff management without the form, spreadsheet, and DM sprawl.

Give owners, community managers, head admins, and moderation leadership one place to organize staff roles, applications, applicant conversations, decisions, and operational history.

StaffTilt is a standalone web application. Discord sign-in is optional.

One connected staff operation

  1. 01

    Define staff roles

Order the hierarchy and assign management permissions.

  2. 02

    Open recruiting

Connect openings to roles and ask the right questions.

  3. 03

    Review together

Keep answers, files, messages, and decisions in context.

  4. 04

    Build the team

Assign the accepted applicant an eligible community role.

Community-management pain

The staff team may be organized in practice—but its records are not.

Gaming communities often develop real leadership structures while managing the underlying work through general-purpose tools that were never designed to preserve staff operations.

Applications in Google Forms

Submissions arrive, but reviewer communication, decisions, and eventual role assignment live somewhere else.

Promotions buried in chat

A role change is announced, then the reason and timing disappear into channel history.

Unclear role hierarchy

Staff titles exist, but responsibility and rank are interpreted differently by each administrator.

Inconsistent permissions

Management access becomes dependent on informal knowledge instead of community-scoped role rules.

Applicant conversations in DMs

Different reviewers hold different pieces of context, leaving no shared application record.

Recruiting varies by administrator

Multiple leaders use different questions, follow-up steps, and decision habits for the same staff team.

Recruiting workflow

Make staff recruiting consistent across every administrator.

StaffTilt turns recruiting into a shared community workflow instead of a form owned by one person and follow-up scattered across private messages.

View the complete feature breakdown
  1. 1

    Create the opening

Describe the staffing need and associate one or more community roles.

  2. 2

    Configure the questions

Build and order questions that fit the opening rather than reusing one generic form.

  3. 3

    Review the application

Authorized reviewers see role selections, answers, messages, and supporting files together.

  4. 4

    Record the outcome

Accept or reject, notify the participants, and carry acceptance into an assigned role.

Role organization

Turn staff titles into a clear operating structure.

Create community-specific roles, order them into a hierarchy, and attach permissions for member, role, application, community, and timeline management.

Rank-aware checks help prevent administrators from assigning roles beyond their allowed level. Promotion and demotion use the same ordered structure and create staff-history events.

Custom titles

Use role names that fit the actual team instead of forcing corporate job terminology.

Ordered hierarchy

Maintain a consistent role order for assignment and rank comparisons.

Scoped permissions

Control who can manage members, roles, applications, community settings, and history.

Recorded role changes

Preserve staff starts, promotions, demotions, and removal from staff in the timeline.

Application communication

Move applicant follow-up out of disconnected DMs.

The applicant and authorized community reviewers communicate through a conversation attached to the application. Messages, read state, and supporting attachments remain in the same review context.

Private attachment routes require both application access and a signed URL, so a copied resource ID is not enough to retrieve another community’s files.

Shared review context

  • Applicant answers
  • Selected opening roles
  • Applicant and reviewer messages
  • Private supporting files
  • Current decision status
  • Conversation read state

Staff records and history

Keep continuity when channels change and administrators leave.

StaffTilt’s community timeline preserves implemented membership, role, recruiting, and application events so current leadership is not entirely dependent on old messages or one person’s memory.

Membership history

Joins, rejoins, departures, removals, and staff-state changes.

Role history

Role creation, ordering, permission changes, promotion, and demotion.

Recruiting history

Openings, associated roles, application questions, and post status changes.

Application history

Submission, acceptance, rejection, cancellation, and conversation state events.

Discord identity is optional. StaffTilt is not a Discord bot.

Current Discord support is limited to optional OAuth sign-in using Discord identity and verified email, with avatar import where available. StaffTilt does not connect or synchronize Discord guilds, synchronize Discord roles, perform Discord moderation, track Discord activity, or provide Discord bot automation.

Set the staff structure and retain an operational record without owning every recruiting handoff.

Community managers

Coordinate membership, recruiting, applications, and role changes from one community workspace.

Head admins

Use hierarchy and permissions to manage eligible roles and review applicants consistently.

Moderation leadership

Recruit for moderator roles while keeping applicant communication and decisions in context.
